SOMA is about great drinks, great music and a great atmosphere. A few house rules help keep it that way, for our guests and for our team behind the bar.
Over 18s only
SOMA is strictly over 18s. We operate Challenge 25, so please bring valid photo ID. At SOMA Soho, our door team will ask to see it if you look under 25.
Dress code
We have a dress code. You’ll find the details at soma.london.
Bookings, walk-ins and the queue
Most of our tables are kept for walk-ins, so you’re always welcome to drop by.
If you’ve booked: we’ll hold your table for 15 minutes from your booking time. After that, it may be given to guests waiting. If you miss it, you’re very welcome to join the queue for the next available table. Your table time is shown in your booking confirmation email.
If you’re walking in: we run a one table out, one table in policy, so there may be a short wait at busier times. Once you’re seated, the table is yours for as long as you’re enjoying our drinks.
Respect, always
SOMA is a place for everyone, and that includes the people who work here. We ask every guest to treat our team, and each other, with kindness and respect.
This isn’t about policing a good night out. It’s about making sure nobody has to put up with behaviour that crosses the line. We won’t tolerate harassment, abuse, discrimination or aggressive behaviour of any kind. That includes sexual comments or advances, unwanted touching, and offensive remarks about someone’s race, religion, sex, sexuality, gender identity, disability, age or any other part of who they are.
If this happens, our team is fully supported to step in. Depending on what has happened, we may:
- ask you to stop
- stop serving you
- end your visit and ask you to leave
- refuse entry, including at the door
- contact the police where behaviour may be a criminal offence
- decline future bookings or entry
Deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable on the day of your booking, so they won’t be refunded if we end your visit for this reason.
We record every incident, so we can keep improving how we look after everyone.
Drinking responsibly
Our team may refuse service to anyone who appears to have had too much to drink.
It works both ways
We hold ourselves to the same standard. If anything about your visit has made you feel uncomfortable, whether it involves a member of our team or another guest, please tell the manager on duty straight away.
If you feel we haven’t handled something fairly, including a decision to stop service or end your visit, we want to hear from you. Email drink@soma.london with your name, the bar, and the date and time of your visit. We’ll acknowledge your message within 2 working days, and a senior member of the team who wasn’t involved will look into it.
The small print
- Please ask before photographing our team or other guests.
- Smoking and vaping aren’t permitted inside.
Thank you for helping us keep SOMA a place everyone loves to be.
